Our company is strongly focused on our social responsibility ranging from helping provide for after school projects, apprenticeship programs and providing bursaries enabling young adults to finish their education. We believe that through proper education we can raise a younger generation that is positive and who will contribute to the growth of this great country.

Helpende Hand

The "Helpende Hand Afrikaanse beursinsituut" was established in 2003 with the goal to help South Africans and their children carry the financial burden associated with tertiary education. They spend millions every year helping deserving young adults, which may not have been able to complete their education due to financial restrictions. This is done through private contributions and individuals creating their own bursaries, which Helpende Hand then helps them manage. These bursaries are then offered to students on a zero interest loan, which they are allowed to pay off after the completion of their studies. This structure allows the creation of a virtual engine where one bursary, after it has been paid off, allows another student to study again repeating the process.

Through our Founder's association with the fund, and his personal bursary program WMS has pledged to ensure that this fund will be able to sustain a student every year for the completion of their studies. Should the student's chosen career path be in line with WMS's product offerings, these students will then be offered an apprenticeship with WMS to further help them gain the required experience.

Kosblikkie

The "Kosblikkie" project is a Helpende Hand initiative aimed at helping feed pre-school children in impoverished areas. The project is part of the larger holistic vision to help with the development of these children. This is driven by the various participating nursery schools that take part in this project. Most of these schools contain children with parents that are unable to provide sufficiently for these children and as a result this project helps by subsidising basic food requirements. For many of these children these are the only meals they get daily.

WMS has committed to increase spending annually, with regards to these types of projects, with the hope that our contribution will help these children not only focus during school but to learn the necessary skills that will help them develop during these formative years.
